
Fire Damages Multiple Homes in Riverbend
On Thursday, Aug. 22, at around 12:40 a.m., emergency crews were called to a house in the 100 block of Riverglen Crescent S.E. due to a fire. The blaze severely damaged a garage and two nearby homes. Thankfully, no one was injured in the incident.

Police believe the same suspect might be connected to two smaller fires that occurred in recycling bins on Aug. 21 and 22 in the same area. Investigators think that all three incidents are related and that the suspect may be responsible for all the fires.
Suspect Description
The Calgary police have released a photo of the suspect, although the face is blurred because they believe the suspect is a teenager. This is in line with the Youth Criminal Justice Act, which protects the identities of young offenders. Despite this, the police hope that someone may recognize the teen based on their clothing.
What the Suspect Was Wearing
The suspect was last seen wearing:
- A grey and white camouflage hoodie
- Black shorts
- An army-green satchel
- Light brown or green Crocs
Locations Where the Suspect Was Seen
The suspect was believed to be walking and might have been with two other people. They were seen in the following areas:
- 100 block of Riverglen Crescent S.E.
- 0 to 100 block of River Valley Crescent S.E.
- 100 block of River Valley Crescent S.E.
